Celebrating 200 Years. Johnnie Walker began its pioneering history in 1820 when young John Walker used the money from the sale of the family farm to set up a grocer’s shop. Most grocers stocked single malts but they were inconsistent. John started blending the whiskies together so they tasted just as good every time. New generations of the family developed the whisky until 1909 when Johnnie Walker Black Label was born. The leading illustrator of the day sketched a logo and the Striding Man was created. Today, Johnnie Walker is the biggest whisky brand in the world and its slogan has been embraced everywhere as a joyful expression of optimism - Keep Walking.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Glenury Royal is the third in a series of special releases crafted using incredibly rare whiskies from the unparalleled Johnnie Walker reserves. At the heart of this blend lies the highly sought-after whisky from the legendary Highland “ghost” distillery of Glenury Royal, a hidden treasure of the whisky world, which closed its doors in 1985.

This indulgent, limited edition, whisky was created by blending the highly sought-after “ghost” whiskies from Cambus and Pittyvaich, with five incredibly rare malts from Glen Elgin, Inchgower, Glenlossie, Cameronbridge, and Glenkinchie.

The result is a whisky with smooth, nutty layers of dark chocolate, waves of vanilla, heather honey, and dried fruits, and underlying notes of creamy toffee and butterscotch - all perfectly balanced by the rich, fruity, sweet apple and delicate apricot character of Glenury Royal.

Serving Suggestion:
Best enjoyed neat, alternating with sips of iced water on the side.
