1 of Lagavulin 8 Year OldReleased to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Lagavulin distillery by John Johnston in 1816, this eight-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is big and smoky. A celebration of the people and craft that have made Lagavulin great over the last two centuries, its fragrant, tea-scented smoke alongside nose-drying, maritime aromas is unlocked with just a drop of water. Inspired by the visit of Alfred Barnard to the distillery in the 1880s when he tried an 'exceptionally fine' eight-year-old from the distillery, this is a fitting tribute for the milestone. With a light body that becomes pleasantly oily, the Lagavulin 8-Year-Old palate boasts a magnificently full-on Lagavulin taste that’s somehow even bigger than you expect. The limited-edition, beautifully pristine presentation box makes it the perfect gift for lovers of peaty and powerful whiskies.

1 of Lagavulin Islay Jazz FestivalThe Islay Jazz Festival, an annual event in which the Lagavulin distillery takes part, has been welcoming visitors for many years. Each year, a limited Lagavulin natural cask strength bottling is released to mark this special occasion. A thirteen year old that is the first Lagavulin ever to be matured in refill American Oak and finished in ex-Mezcal American Standard Barrels, this 2021 Jazz Festival exclusive has been exquisitely re-arranged to hit remarkable new high notes. Only 2021 bottles are available. On the nose unusual smoky-meaty aromas of the barbecue lead familiar linseed oil and fragrant smoke. The texture is really smooth and rich, the taste sweet and savoury to start then quickly warming, as waves of smoke sweep over the palate carrying hints of spicy wood and smoke-dried Jalapeno pepper. This new-found heat lingers with the smoke in a pleasing, long finish.
